About Ancient Grain

Guidry Liason International is your distributor for Ancient Grain. Sorghum is a cereal grain and it is the ﬁfth most important cereal crop in the world.

This importance is because of sorghum’s natural drought tolerance and versatility as food, feed and fuel. Throughout Africa and areas of Asia, sorghum is chiefly consumed as a human food product.

By contrast, the United States uses sorghum mostly for livestock feed and in the growth of ethanol plants.

In recent years, the United States has seen sorghum food usage on increase, due to the gluten-free beneﬁts of sorghum for those afflicted with celiac disease.
